Two director chairs on a set where the world is still forming
§ About

There is a matter
between the eye
and the heart.

The camera captures what was.
The eye perceives what seemed.
AI materializes what was felt upon seeing.
This space has a name: Sentimagem.

, KURACONV · São Paulo
§ The Studio

Built in the field.

KURACONV Studio wasn’t founded in a film school. Maria Rosa built it the way she has built everything, in the field, by doing, often with more conviction than resources. Kitchens, shop floors, a business of her own. She learned early that an image isn’t decoration, it’s the difference between someone walking past and someone deciding. That instinct, earned in the real world, is now pointed at cinema.

§ Founder

One voice.
One studio.

Portrait of Maria Rosa, founder and creative director of KURACONV

Maria Rosa

Founder · Creative Director

Maria Rosa shapes the emotional architecture of everything KURACONV makes. Her eye decides what stays, the mood, the texture, the breath of a frame. She built and ran her own brand long before she built a film, and she directs from that instinct: what makes someone feel a thing, and act on it. Brand identity, editorial fashion, sound, she moves between them as one language.

§ Method

The Sentimagem
method.

A proprietary 3-pillar framework. Every frame, every cut, every sound passes through these tests before it leaves the studio.

Presença, coherence of mood across every asset
01

Presença

Coherence of mood across every asset. The mood is the brand. A campaign without presence is fragments; a campaign with presence is a world.

Engenharia, camera direction in motion
02

Engenharia

Camera direction in motion. AI is the new lens, direction is the eye. Most studios input text. We input cinematography.

Narrativa, story engine first
03

Narrativa

Story engine first. Motion follows. Image emerges. Without the engine, AI generates beautiful trash. With it, AI generates films you remember.

§ Filter

Every decision passes through
a council of thirty-four minds.

Photographers, directors, philosophers, strategists. Each project is filtered through their lenses before it reaches you. We don’t name them publicly, but you’ll feel them in every frame.

§ Registration

Registered with ANCINE.

KURACONV STUDIOS LTDA holds registration number 65694 with ANCINE, Brazil’s National Cinema Agency, classified as an Empresa Produtora Brasileira Independente, a Brazilian independent production company, and cleared to act as proponent for projects financed through the country’s audiovisual incentive laws. Editorial responsibility: Maria Rosa Almeida Mafasoli. Registered on 21 August 2026.

What it means in practice is narrow and worth saying plainly. It is not a seal of quality, and it guarantees no one a single centavo of financing. It means that inside Brazil we can carry a project through the incentive system as the production company of record, and that everywhere else you are hiring a company that treats filmmaking as a registered profession rather than a side effect of software.
